(7) Currency                                              

    RMB, the unified currency of PRC is the only authorized currency in Jinan. The unit of RMB is yuan, the fractional currencies are jiao and fen. The abbreviation code is RMB￥. 

    Foreign Exchange agencies run by Chinese banks are available in airport, star-class hotels and tourist stores. The exchange rates vary slightly from bank to bank. A comparison can be made before exchanging. Take your exchange certificates with you, for they will be used when exchanging unused RMB back to foreign currency. Do not exchange money on the street.
